Baptism Citra, May 7th, 2022

The Sabbath day was unlike any other; a special day of rejoicing in what the Lord has done in one young man’s life and heart. The weather was clear and the skies were sunny when on May 7, 2022, Nathaniel (aka, Brother Nathan) Jean-Francois was baptized into the SDARM. Brother Nathan, as many know, is the eldest son of Brother Patrick & Sister Christina. The scripture quoted on the front of the church bulletin for the occasion appropriately depicted the Bible verse: “For with God, nothing shall be impossible” Luke 1:37. His parents never gave up hoping, dreaming, and praying for this day; now their prayers are answered.

Services commenced on this High-Sabbath in the presence of a church packed full of family & friends who traveled from as far South as Miami, Florida area all the way to the West Coast of the United States from Sacramento, California to witness Brother Nathan’s baptism. The sermon was presented by Brother Nehemiah Chang. The baptism was held at Horseshoe Lake Park & Retreat with its pretty sandhills in Ocala, Florida far off the beaten path east of the Citra, Florida church.

Nathan said his decision was not taken lightly without much consideration, many trials & tribulations which led him to the foot of the cross. The Saviour called Nathan by name, he listened, and made his public pledge in answer to the Lord’s call; A-men!

During Nathan’s powerful testimony before the church, he mentioned his desire to be an example for his peers, and for those in the valley of decision.

Nathan said his decision includes proudly following the example of Joshua in the Bible who said: “…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” Joshua 24:15. Nathan expounded on why he believes the SDARM is God’s church on earth, and mentioned he had heard when he attended missionary school that connection with God means connection with his church.

The Citra, Florida church family pledges to support Nathan with our continued prayers as he endeavors to serve the Lord. Will you join us with your added prayers for Nathan’s success in his Christian walk?
